Where Disability Rights Meet Real Life

Where the Bar’s one published ADA contact actually lives, and who never sees it.

Reviewing the Bar’s grievance materials surfaces an oddity. The Bar’s only published ADA contact information appears on the Spanish-language grievance form (revision dated 2020). The English-language grievance form (a 2024 revision) contains no ADA contact information at all.

The practical result: an English-speaking disabled Georgian, using the form the Bar steers most complainants to, gets less disability-access information than a Spanish-speaking complainant, at the sole attorney-discipline forum in the state. This was raised with the Bar. The concern was “noted.” The English form was not corrected.
