No Further Communication. Five Days Later, Moving Forward.

Christian Sigman, City Manager for the City of Brookhaven, Georgia, announced on February 18, 2026, that his office would stop communicating due to potential litigation. He emailed again on February 23.

Double talk. On February 18, 2026, Christian Sigman, Brookhaven City Manager, wrote, “Going forward, there will be no further communication from me or the City Manager’s Office due to potential litigation.” Five days later, his February 23 email arrived under the subject “Moving Forward.”

What I allege

  1. The shutdown announcement. Sigman’s February 18 message said neither he nor his office would communicate further.
  2. The return to email. On February 23, he sent a new message to me titled “Moving Forward.”
  3. The same official, opposite course. Both communications were from Sigman. The emails and letters shows the stated communication cutoff and the subsequent renewed communication five days later.

Human cost

In my February 24, 2026 reply to Christian Sigman, I wrote:

And I will note this, Mr. Sigman: you were copied on approximately twenty-three of my emails before you sent this one yesterday. My phone number was on every single one of them. Not once did you or anyone at the City pick up the phone. When the City believed it held the upper hand, no one returned my call. No one responded to my concerns. No one offered a conversation.

Closing

On February 18, he told me there would be no more communication. On February 23, there was communication. Both emails are in the emails and letters. I did not write either one.

Source route: Christian Sigman dated correspondence and receipts.

How to read this page. Officials’ words are quoted from their own dated emails and letters. My own dated emails and my opinion are marked as mine. Labels in bold are my characterization of the dated facts beside them. Being copied on a letter does not show that a person influenced a decision. A count of requests is a count of requests, not a count of violations. Nothing here is a legal finding. Counts and dates are as of October 17, 2026.
