Who Is the State ADA Coordinator’s Office:
The State of Georgia ADA Coordinator’s Office gives technical guidance on the Americans with Disabilities Act to state agencies, ADA coordinators and the public. The State ADA Coordinator is Stacey Peace, and the office sits within the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission in Atlanta. In its own words, “our office is not an enforcement agency”.
Why the State ADA Coordinator’s Office Is On ADAMATTERS.COM:
- The one office that answered. I asked for help on April 30, 2026. By May 6 the office had called the State Bar of Georgia, emailed it, and put the route in writing. Read it
- Thirty four minutes to answer the State Bar. At 2:35 PM on May 12, 2026, John J. Shiptenko wrote the office that the State Bar of Georgia “is not a public entity.” At 3:09 PM Stacey Peace wrote back: “there are instances where State Bars have been held to be Title II entities under the ADA”. - It got Georgia POST’s answer when POST would not. On August 7, 2026, the office wrote me: “The person responsible for ADA Title II compliance at Georgia POST is Meghan Fail.” Read it
- Nineteen minutes. On May 14, 2026, my thank you note was read at 10:26 AM and answered at 11:01 AM. Read it
- No teeth. On May 13, 2026, the office wrote: “we cannot compel another entity to perform a particular action or cease from performing a particular action.” Read it
- Two emails missing from its own files. When the State produced its 47 files on September 22, 2026, two August 7 emails Stacey Peace received and sent about Georgia POST were not among them. I have them only from POST. Read it

6 days from my April 30, 2026 request to the office putting the State Bar route in writing on May 6. 5 emails the State sent the State Bar of Georgia about my request, by its own production. 0 emails the State addressed to GIRMA, GMA or Gallagher Bassett, by its own production of 47 files.
