Part 1 of 2 · Part 2
Things He Did to Me:
- I paid the City’s $356.54 records charge on February 12, 2026. On February 17, Berry wrote that the City could not comply. As of October 17, 2026: no records, no refund.
- At 6:49 PM on February 11, 2026, Berry wrote that Brookhaven would “insist on prepayment of the costs prior to beginning search, retrieval, review, or production of the records.”
- On January 23, 2026, Berry responded to a meeting request by asking whether I had counsel. On February 9 he returned to the same question, writing: “If you do not have a lawyer, I am permitted to communicate directly with you.”
- On March 2, 2026, Berry offered a call or dialogue after the written records disputes. His email stated: “I just thought some sort of conversation or dialogue might be productive if you are inclined.”
When He Did It:
Every email Jeremy T. Berry sent me, and every email I addressed to him, in order. Emails where they were only copied are counted in the numbers above. Chronology, not motive. A read receipt shows a message was opened on that mailbox. It can be declined, and many mail programs never send one.
