Christian Sigman, Brookhaven City Manager, acknowledged my January 23, 2026 request for a meeting, but said potential litigation meant he would refrain from a formal response or meetings “in the near-term.”
The same day answer. On January 23, 2026, at 12:30 PM Eastern, Christian Sigman, City Manager of Brookhaven, answered my request for a meeting: “Due to the stated potential litigation, I will refrain from a formal response or any meetings in the near-term.” He acknowledged receiving my message. His refusal was expressly limited to the near term.
What I allege
- What I asked. My January 23 email asked Sigman or suitable City leadership for a meeting within 10 business days.
- What he wrote. In his January 23 reply, Sigman cited potential litigation and declined a formal response and meetings in the near term.
Human cost
In my February 24, 2026 reply to Christian Sigman, I wrote:
Had the City simply returned my phone call, there would not have been a single Open Records Act request. Not one.
Closing
I asked for a meeting before the written exchanges kept growing. Sigman’s response was a refusal for the near term. The checked record contains no meeting with him.
Source route: Christian Sigman dated correspondence and receipts.
How to read this page. Officials’ words are quoted from their own dated emails and letters. My own dated emails and my opinion are marked as mine. Labels in bold are my characterization of the dated facts beside them. Being copied on a letter does not show that a person influenced a decision. A count of requests is a count of requests, not a count of violations. Nothing here is a legal finding. Counts and dates are as of October 17, 2026.
