Things the Brookhaven Police Department Did to Me:
- Read my emails and did not answer: 39 read receipts from the Chief’s mailbox (Brandon Gurley), 7 from the Records Unit’s division manager (Lonnie Napier).
- Left my written request to communicate by email, as a disability accommodation, without a written answer (February 24, 2026).
- Closed a request and told me to start over: “This request is complete. Please file a new request with the details mentioned in your email and include a reference to this request.” (February 20, 2026, portal account under Clarissa Medina’s name).
- Sent me to the City Clerk for records it said it did not maintain (February 23 and March 18, 2026, Medina; March 6, 2026, Standridge).
- Closed a request with “There is no responsive documents for this request.” (March 5, 2026, Standridge).
- Closed a request “due to the lack of response.” (March 19, 2026, Medina).
