Brandon Gurley has been Chief of Police of the Brookhaven Police Department since September 2022. He joined the department in April 2013, became Deputy Chief in March 2019, and began his career in 1999 with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office (City of Brookhaven command staff page). I call this the silent treatment. As of October 17, 2026, I addressed seven emails directly to Chief Brandon Gurley. His own mailbox generated 39 read receipts without a substantive written reply from him. The only response recorded from his account was automatic.

• The unanswered direct request. On February 9, 2026, I sent Gurley a written request seeking a departmental response. I hold no substantive answer from Gurley.
