Chris Harvey Promised ADA Info “in the near future.” 93 Days, Nothing

As of October 17, 2026. Times are Eastern.

On July 16, 2026, Chris Harvey, Executive Director of Georgia POST, promised this disabled dad the agency’s ADA information “in the near future.” As of October 17, 2026, 93 days later, he has not sent it. POST’s own records show what he did with my ADA requests instead: he sent them to the State’s lawyer, without a word of his own.

Pass It to the Lawyer:

Pass it to the lawyer. At 7:54 AM on April 27, 2026, Chris Harvey’s mailbox opened my written request for a disability accommodation. Twenty minutes later, at 8:14 AM, POST’s own records show he forwarded it to the Assistant Attorney General who represents POST. He added no words of his own.

The next day he told me: “Regarding the ADA issues you have raised, I have provided your correspondence to our legal counsel for review.”

The Promise:

On July 15, 2026, at 9:15 AM, I asked POST in writing for its ADA contact, its grievance procedure and its timeline. His mailbox opened it at 10:09 AM.

At 11:28 AM on July 16, 2026, Chris Harvey answered: “I will forward the information you requested about the ADA in the near future.”

POST’s own records show he blind copied the State’s lawyer on that reply.

He never sent the information. As of October 17, 2026, it is 93 days. The name of POST’s ADA coordinator reached me on August 7, 2026, and it did not come from POST. It came from the State ADA Coordinator’s Office.

What His Own Staff Wrote Him:

POST’s open records production shows two more forwards in August, and what his staff wrote when they passed my requests up to him:

  • August 4, 2026: “I am not sure how to answer this person.”
  • August 6, 2026: “See below. I am not sure how to respond to this.”

The records show he forwarded both to the State’s lawyer. None of it came back to me from him.

What I Allege:

  1. Pass it to the lawyer. I allege that on April 27, 2026, twenty minutes after his mailbox opened my written request for a disability accommodation, Chris Harvey, Executive Director, Georgia POST, forwarded it to the Assistant Attorney General representing POST without adding any words, and that on April 28, 2026 he wrote me: “I have provided your correspondence to our legal counsel for review.” Sources: his read receipt (April 27, 7:54 AM); POST’s August 31, 2026 open records production; his April 28, 1:40 PM email.
  2. A broken promise. I allege that on July 16, 2026 he wrote: “I will forward the information you requested about the ADA in the near future,” and that as of October 17, 2026, 93 days later, he has not sent it. Sources: his July 16, 11:28 AM email; my mailbox, all folders.
  3. A blind copy to the lawyer. Upon information and belief, based on POST’s own production, I allege that he blind copied the State’s lawyer on that July 16 reply to me. Source: POST’s August 31, 2026 production, first request.
  4. The help came from somewhere else. I allege that the name of the person responsible for ADA compliance at POST reached me on August 7, 2026 from the State ADA Coordinator’s Office, not from POST or from him. Source: the State ADA Coordinator’s Office email of August 7, 2026, 4:55 PM.
  5. Not his job, it appears. I allege that POST’s August 27, 2026 decision on my ADA grievance was issued by the State’s lawyer, with Chris Harvey copied, and not by him. It appears to me that the Executive Director made the State’s lawyer the answer to a disabled person’s ADA requests: POST’s own records show three forwards from him to that lawyer, on April 27, August 4 and August 6, 2026, and a blind copy to that lawyer on July 16, 2026. Sources: the August 27, 2026, 12:39 PM email; POST’s production.

What This Cost a Disabled Dad:

I asked the head of a state agency a simple question: who do I go to for help as a disabled person, and how. He said he would send it. Then he sent my question to the State’s lawyer and sent me nothing.

Is this how they would treat their own family or friends that were disabled

What This Page Does Not Say:

This page does not describe what my POST complaint alleged. It sets out what Chris Harvey wrote, what POST’s own records show he did, and when. The labels are my opinion based on my experience. The quotations are POST’s.
