Why Jakarah Everett is On ADAMATTERS.COM:

  • Copied the lawyer I complained about. On March 3, 2026, Jakarah Everett signed the letter closing my State Bar grievance against Brookhaven City Attorney Jeremy T. Berry. The letter went to one other person. Its last line reads: “cc: Jeremy Todd Berry”
  • The discipline office sent me to court. The same letter says: “Though the State Bar of Georgia functions as the disciplinary branch of the Supreme Court of Georgia for attorneys licensed in Georgia, we are not a court of law, nor do we function as one; thus, the State Bar of Georgia is not the proper forum to handle this matter. This is a matter for the court to decide.”
  • Seven days, start to finish, and no further investigation. The State Bar emailed me on February 24, 2026 that my grievance was received and would be “placed in line for review.” Jakarah Everett’s letter is dated March 3, 2026, seven days later. It says my grievance “does not provide sufficient basis for the Bar to conduct any further investigation.”
  • The lawyer used it seven days later. On March 10, 2026, Jeremy T. Berry wrote, in an email I received, that I had filed “two State Bar of Georgia grievances (one of which was against me, which the State Bar summarily dismissed)”. Read the Jeremy T. Berry record
  • Then nothing. As of October 17, 2026, 228 days after that letter, Jakarah Everett has never sent me one email.
