Who He Is:

Michael Diaz is the District 1 Council Representative for the City of Brookhaven. The City directory says Michael Diaz was elected in December 2023 and sworn into office on January 8, 2024. Before that, Michael Diaz “served on the City’s Planning Commission for almost 7 years.” I wrote to the Council about open records and my ADA grievances, and Michael Diaz received those notices.

On January 5, 2026, the Brookhaven City Council renewed the contracts of City Manager Christian Sigman, City Attorney Jeremy Berry and City Clerk Sandra Bryant, as reported by Cathy Cobbs in Rough Draft Atlanta on January 6, 2026.

When He Did It:

Every email Michael Diaz sent me, and every email I addressed to him, in order. Emails where they were only copied are counted in the numbers above. Chronology, not motive. A read receipt shows a message was opened on that mailbox. It can be declined, and many mail programs never send one.

How to read this page. Counts come from my mailbox and the original emails, as of October 17, 2026. A read receipt shows that a mailbox opened an email; it does not show who read it or how much. A message sent from the City’s records portal shows the account it came from, not who typed it. Labels in bold are my characterization of the dated facts printed beside them. This page makes no claim about anyone’s motive and no legal finding.
