They Questioned the Disability and Never Requested the Proof

When I asked for accommodations, the Bar’s Deputy General Counsel wrote that it did not appear I needed help.

“At this time, it does not appear that you require assistance in preparing written submissions or in understanding or responding to correspondence from the State Bar.”

William D. NeSmith III, Deputy General Counsel, State Bar of Georgia. May 12, 2026.

I had offered documentation of my disability. The Bar never requested it. It decided I did not need help without ever examining the proof that I did.

You cannot judge a disability you refuse to look at.
