Two accommodation requests were sitting in the file. The answer that came was a coverage denial that did not mention them, sent on the day I had said I would be in surgery.
What it is
An 11:28 AM email on April 1, 2026 from Belinda Boscoe saying the coverage investigation was complete, and the letter it promised, dated April 1 and sent at 8:38 AM on April 2. The letter closes the file.
Why it matters
Between March 13 and April 1 I had asked in writing, twice, for an ADA contact and a phone call, and had said my first hand surgery was weeks away. The denial letter answers none of that. It describes what I sent as “various administrative tasks” and closes the file. I had told the office in writing that April 1 was a surgery date; my April 2 letter says so and nothing in the file contradicts it. I am noting the timing. I am not claiming a reason.
What it shows
The email tells me to stop copying the office. The letter says: “Rather, your complaints raise questions about how the City handled various administrative tasks. Therefore, we are closing our file on this matter.” It cites “policy provisions” and names none.
What it does not show
The words disability, accommodation, or ADA contact. A response to March 13 or March 16. The name of any policy provision or exclusion.
