Start here if you know nothing
GIRMA, GMA, and Gallagher Bassett is one track on this site, and it is always written that way. GIRMA pools coverage for Georgia local governments. The Georgia Municipal Association, GMA, administers it. Gallagher Bassett handles its claims.
When you file a claim, you are supposed to get one claim number. That number is how everybody keeps track of you.
I got eight.
THE ONE LINE TO REMEMBER
The claim got an answer in 20 days.
My disability request has waited 223.

What happened
- March 10 to March 12, 2026. Eight claim numbers are opened for my one matter. Seven of them are opened automatically from emails I sent.
- March 13, 2026, 8:44 AM. Belinda Boscoe, Gallagher Bassett, writes that my emails to claim intake “were mistakenly set up as new claims.” She writes that the extra numbers were voided and the review would finish the following week.
- March 13, 2026, 11:07 AM. Two hours and twenty three minutes later, I ask Gallagher Bassett in writing for disability assistance: who handles accommodation requests, a call from the adjuster or a supervisor, and whether this is one claim or several.
- March 16, 2026. I follow up in writing, marked time sensitive, with GIRMA’s claims mailbox copied.
- April 1, 2026, 11:28 AM. Gallagher Bassett writes that its coverage investigation is complete, and asks me to stop copying the administrator.
- April 2, 2026, 8:39 AM. The claim is denied, the next morning.
- April 15, 2026. The intake system opened a ninth claim number for the same matter. On March 13, 2026, Belinda Boscoe had written: “All claim numbers that were set up after your initial report of this incident have been voided.”
- As of October 22, 2026. My March 13 request is unanswered. My March 16 follow up is unanswered.
What came back, as of October 22, 2026
- To the claim: a denial, 20 days after my disability request.
- To the duplicate claim numbers: one sentence calling them a mistake.
- To my March 13 disability request: no answer.
- To my March 16 follow up: no answer.
THE ONE LINE TO REMEMBER
“were mistakenly set up as new claims.”
Belinda Boscoe, Gallagher Bassett, March 13, 2026, 8:44 AM, on seven of my eight claim numbers. Two hours and twenty three minutes later I asked her office for disability help. That email has no answer.
Status, as of October 22, 2026
Claim denied April 2, 2026. Disability request of March 13, 2026: unanswered, 223 days.
What I allege
1. I allege that Gallagher Bassett’s intake system opened eight claim numbers for my one claim between March 10 and March 12, 2026, seven of them from my own emails, and that Belinda Boscoe wrote on March 13 that they “were mistakenly set up as new claims.” Her email is quoted above.
2. I allege that on March 13, 2026, at 11:07 AM, I asked Gallagher Bassett in writing who handles disability accommodation requests, and that as of October 22, 2026 nobody has answered that email or my March 16 follow up.
3. I allege that the claim itself was answered in 20 days (denied April 2, 2026) and that on April 15, 2026 the intake system opened a ninth number for the same matter, after Belinda Boscoe had written that every extra number was voided.
4. Gallagher Bassett’s computer opened a claim number every time I sent an email. No person there opened a request for help from a disabled man. The machine answered me eight times. The people answered me zero.
5. An insurer that can find my claim fast enough to deny it in 20 days can find my disability request in the same inbox. It is the same inbox. One email got a denial in 20 days. The other got nothing.
Is this how they would treat their own family or friends that were disabled

What this record does not show
It does not show what my claim was about. That stays off this site.
It does not take a position on whether the denial was right.
It does not show how Gallagher Bassett’s intake system works beyond Ms. Boscoe’s own sentence.
Eight numbers for one claim. Zero answers for one disability request. The system can count. It just picked what to count.
