Christian Sigman, Described by Others

Christian Sigman: His Actions Have Been Described by Others:

I am not a party to the case below and file nothing in it. It is reported from the court’s own opinion and the newspapers that covered it. The views in the table belong to the people quoted, not to ADA Matters.

Where it ended. In March 2022 a DeKalb County jury awarded $200,000 in punitive damages against Brookhaven City Manager Christian Sigman in Ardent Companies v. City of Brookhaven (Rough Draft Atlanta, March 8, 2022). That award was set aside and the judgment against him vacated. On June 30, 2025 the Court of Appeals of Georgia held that he was protected by official immunity (The Ardent Companies, LLC v. City of Brookhaven, A25A0466), and in January 2026 the Supreme Court of Georgia declined to review that decision (Rough Draft Atlanta, January 21, 2026). Sigman told the AJC: “I was just doing what a city manager does.” (Zachary Hansen, AJC, March 11, 2022.)
