Step 1 · State Bar Intake
The Bar Found My Subject Line
The Bar received two rebuttal submissions. When the grievance was reviewed, the reviewer did not have them. The dismissal said no rebuttal arrived.
When I proved the submissions had been delivered, the Bar admitted in writing that they had been misclassified.
“As a result of this misclassification, your submissions were not added to the grievance file at that time.”
Leigh Burgess, Assistant General Counsel, State Bar of Georgia. April 21, 2026.
The Bar lost the submissions. It found the subject line.
Then the Bar blamed the way I had labeled the email. The subject line already contained the grievance number the Bar itself had assigned the matter, and the name of the attorney the complaint was about. The Bar blamed the label anyway.
A routing system that can read its own grievance number cannot honestly blame the sender for the file it misrouted.
