Things He Did to Me:

  1. As of October 17, 2026, William D. NeSmith III has not written to me in 155 days. His last email was May 15, 2026, at 11:05 AM Eastern.
  2. On May 12, 2026, at 2:12 PM Eastern, after I had asked the State Bar of Georgia for help with written submissions, he wrote to me: “Based upon your communications, it does not appear that you require assistance in preparing written submissions or otherwise accessing the grievance or reconsideration process.” Read his email
  3. The State Bar of Georgia publishes that he regularly teaches continuing legal education in ethics and professionalism, and that he served seven years on the disciplinary Investigative Panel, including as its Chair.
  4. In the same 2:12 PM email he wrote: “The State Bar of Georgia is not a public entity, such as a federal, state or local government department or agency.”
  5. He sent that email to me alone. Every other recipient was stripped from the copy list.
  6. In the same email he wrote that my request under the ADA “may be directed less toward obtaining accommodation or access assistance and more toward securing a particular substantive outcome regarding the underlying grievance matter.”
  7. At 6:37 PM that evening he offered one meeting time: “I am available at 11.30 only.” Read the offer
  8. At 7:34 AM the next morning, May 13, 2026, he withdrew it: “The 11:30 time was meant for a colleague of mine and was sent to you in error … there is no meeting between you and I at 11:30.”
  9. At 12:41 PM that same day he wrote: “I will send you a response today, if possible.” Read it
  10. At 1:29 PM that same day he wrote: “I won’t be able to respond to your two emails until tomorrow” and “I will do my best to provide my response tomorrow.”
  11. Tomorrow was May 14, 2026, the close of my written cure window. He sent no response on May 14, 2026.
  12. At 6:29 PM on May 14, 2026, three minutes after I sent the post cure record, his mailbox returned a read receipt.
  13. On May 15, 2026, at 11:05 AM Eastern, he wrote that the State Bar of Georgia “will not engage in further substantive correspondence with you concerning your threatened claims or the allegations set forth in your recent communications outside formal legal process.” He has written nothing since.
  14. Between May 18, 2026 and September 19, 2026, I sent him seven written requests. His mailbox returned a read receipt on every one. He answered none of them.
  15. On June 30, 2026, the State Bar of Georgia closed my grievance against him in a three sentence letter signed by Jeffrey W. DeLoach, Chair of the State Disciplinary Board. It was one of six letters the Bar sent me that day. No investigation was opened. Read the dismissal

When He Did It:

Every email he sent, received or was copied on, in order, each linked to its page. Where a read receipt was captured, the time is shown. Chronology, not motive. A read receipt shows a message was opened on that mailbox. It can be declined, and many mail programs never send one.
