Back to James R. Westbury, Jr. · the State Bar record
Things James R. Westbury, Jr. Did to Me:
- On May 1, 2026, writing for GIRMA and GMA, he asked me: “(1) What is your disability? In other words, what is your impairment or functional limitation?” Read the letter
- In the same letter he wrote that my emails had “crossed into the realm of harassment” and that my efforts “seem to be less intended to vindicate any bona fide legal right than to exploit laws unrelated to the merits of the claim for the purpose of annoyance.”
- In the same letter he wrote that presenting a claim on behalf of another is, “in my opinion, the unlawful practice of law which is prohibited under Georgia law without a license.”
- In the same letter he wrote that “GIRMA does reserve the ability to cease such voluntary compliance in any future correspondence.”
- He sent the letter by email at 12:08 PM on May 1, 2026, with nine people copied. The email greeting read “Dear Mr. Berry:”, not my name.
- He wrote: “Please direct all future communications to me.” He then answered none of the ten emails I sent to his address between May 6 and May 21, 2026.
- On May 6, 2026, his mailbox returned a read receipt at 6:30 PM on my 5:10 PM retraction demand. He let the 72 hour deadline pass on May 9, 2026, with no retraction. Read the demand
- On May 13, 2026, at 5:41 PM, I wrote him that “Zero of twelve items have been cured.” He did not reply. Read the scorecard
- As of October 17, 2026, he has not written to me in 169 days.
- On June 30, 2026, at 4:24 PM, the State Bar of Georgia dismissed my grievance against him. He was copied on the letter. Read the dismissal
When James R. Westbury, Jr. Did It:
Every email James R. Westbury, Jr. sent me, every email I sent to his address, every read receipt from his mailbox, and the State Bar steps on my grievance, in order, each linked where a page exists. Times are Eastern. Chronology, not motive. A read receipt shows a message was opened on that mailbox. It can be declined, and many mail programs never send one.
