A DISABLED DAD’S ADA MATTERS
Georgia on My Mind
STATE BAR OF GEORGIACITY OF BROOKHAVENGIRMA, GMA, AND GALLAGHER BASSETT

Damon E. Elmore

Who they are

Damon E. Elmore is the Executive Director of the State Bar of Georgia, the most senior member of its staff. The State Bar lists him as Executive Director in its staff directory. He is already named on this site, in the copy lists of the notices below.

He is on this page for the same reason the General Counsel is. He was told, repeatedly, in writing, with deadlines. He never wrote to me.

Why they are on this page

Facts only. What they did or did not do, each with a document behind it.

  • He was copied on the June 8, 2026 written complaint of disability discrimination, harassment and retaliation sent to the Bar’s Human Resources office. As of September 8, 2026 that complaint has not been acknowledged, numbered, or assigned a reviewer.
  • He was copied on the June 17, 2026 email setting out seventeen outstanding ADA compliance and process questions, alongside the General Counsel, the Chief Operating Officer, the Human Resources Director and the Governmental Affairs Director.
  • He was copied on the June 25, 2026 demand for a written status on each of seven open matters.
  • He was copied on the June 26, 2026 email titled “42 Days of Silence”, which set out the two tiered handling of grievances in a single table.
  • He was copied again on the September 5, 2026 letter to the Director of Human Resources asking where the June 8 complaint went.
  • Across all of it he sent me no email, no letter and no acknowledgment.

The complaint we filed

No separate grievance was filed against Mr. Elmore. He is on this record because he holds the senior staff position at the State Bar of Georgia and was a named recipient of every institutional escalation in this matter, including the one complaint the Bar has never answered.

His page is the record of what the person at the top of the staff was told, and when.

Their clearance

There is no June 30 dismissal for Mr. Elmore, because no grievance was filed against him individually. The point of his page is the notice. The Executive Director was copied on the June 8 complaint to Human Resources, on the seventeen questions, on the seven matter status demand, on “42 Days of Silence” and on the September 5 letter. As of September 8, 2026 the June 8 complaint has still not been acknowledged.
