• A rubber stamp. On June 30, 2026, from 4:23 PM through 4:35 PM, four letters signed by Jeffrey W. DeLoach dismissed my four grievances about four lawyers in the State Bar’s own Office of the General Counsel. Under twelve minutes, start to finish. Forwarded for investigation: zero. • “Thoroughly reviewed,” in three sentences. Each letter is three sentences long. On the grievance against Deputy General Counsel William D. NeSmith III he wrote: “I thoroughly reviewed the seven-page narrative description of your grievance against Mr. NeSmith, as well as the twenty-four pages of exhibits submitted in support of the grievance.” Then: “As a result, this grievance is dismissed.” Read the dismissal
• Delivered to the people it cleared. Each email was copied, at the same minute, to the State Bar lawyer it cleared, from the Office of the General Counsel’s own mailbox, the office those four lawyers work in: “DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. THIS EMAIL ADDRESS IS NOT MONITORED.”
• One picture of a signature, pasted four times. The PDF files of all four letters record a creation time between 7:47 AM and 7:53 AM that morning. The same two signature images sit in all four, identical byte for byte, and the author field names someone else. Read what the files show
• A habit of silence. On September 15, 2026 I asked Jeffrey W. DeLoach fourteen written questions, including “Who drafted each June 30 letter, and who transmitted each letter?” The answers were due September 24, 2026.
